An idyllic archipelago with rolling green hills embellish 74 islands of which only 10 are inhabited. Whitsunday Islands belongs to the highly protected marine park, which is managed by the Queensland Park and Wildlife Services. Beautiful beaches and crystal clear blue waters offer one of the best sailing areas in the world with huge lagoon inlets.
Each island has its own character and on most of them it is possible to camp. The Great Barrier Reef is located about 80 km away. The islands are surrounded by small coral reefs.

To reduce costs, it’s best to stay on Airlie Beach which is the closest port from which to access the islands.
